Research in the 100,000 Genomes Project
Researchers and clinicians, from both academia and the NHS, are working together to continually analyse data from the 100,000 Genomes Project. They have joined the Genomics England Clinical Interpretation Partnership (GeCIP), forming either disease-facing or functional groups or ‘domains’. Trainees are also an important part of GeCIP and students can apply to become members.
The aim of GeCIP is to help us better interpret genomic data, which will lead to better clinical understanding and better patient outcomes.
