Dr William Macken is a specialist registrar in clinical genetics and a research fellow in primary mitochondrial disease at the UCL Queen Square institute of Neurology/ National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. His research focuses on translating genomic advances into the clinical setting to improve diagnostic rates in rare disease. Dr Macken is an Early Career Researcher representative on the Research Network Committee.
