Genomics England Research Environment has one of the largest genomic data sets enriched with clinical data. We enable scientists from academia and industry to make discoveries, laying the foundations for personalised medicine for rare conditions and cancer.
How to use the Research Environment
The Research Environment contains a unique blend of programmatic and point-and-click tools which allow researchers with different coding abilities to carry out high-level genomic analyses. These tools allow users to tailor their research journey and do anything from searching for particular phenotypes in our datasets to creating pipelines from scratch.
Tools available within the Research Environment include
LabKey - the core software suite containing all the clinical and phenotypic data available for researchers to access, integrate, and analyse.
Participant Explorer - this allows the user to quickly and easily search for participants by phenotype or demographic and view their longitudinal health data.
High Performance Cluster (HPC) - enables researchers to carry out large-scale data analysis in smaller timeframes, accelerating their research.
Interactive Variant Analysis (IVA) - a powerful variant catalogue allowing for you to query genomic data using an intuitive web interface.
