Professor Daniel Gale

Therapeutic Innovations and Trials lead

Daniel Gale holds the St Peter’s Chair of Nephrology at University College London, where he runs the North/Central London renal genetics clinical service. Using large-scale genomics his group has advanced understanding of numerous diseases. He also directs the UK Rare Kidney Disease Registry (RaDaR), which holds clinical and genetic data from over 30,000 participants with rare kidney diseases. RaDaR has provided insights into rare kidney disease natural history and has facilitated personalised interventional trials. Now, he will lead our Therapeutic Innovations and Trials community which will support research to propel genomic and clinical insight to develop innovative or personalised treatments.
