Professor Jean-Baptiste Cazier

Population Genomics co-lead

Jean-Baptiste Cazier is a Professor of Bioinformatics focusing on computational and mathematical modelling of natural phenomena. His main areas of interest are cancer genetics, metabonomics and population genetics. He was a part of the team who launched the UK Coronavirus Cancer Monitoring Project to help clinicians understand how anti-cancer treatments affect COVID-19 and leads the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics team at the Francis Crick Institute. Prof Cazier will be co-leading our Population Genomics community where large cohorts will be analysed to comprehend human genetic variation and what drives it.
