Professor Sanjay Sisodiya

Sanjay Sisodiya is a professor of neurology at the UCL Institute of Neurology, honorary consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Director of Genomics at the Epilepsy Society. His work primarily specialises in epilepsy genetics, treatment-response genetics and difficult-to-treat epilepsy. In addition to the major contributions he has made to the fields of epilepsy genetics and pharmacogenetics, Professor Sisodiya runs a specialist epilepsy genomics clinic. Now, he has been chosen to co-lead our Predisposition and Screening community to analyse how genomic data can be analysed to connect how diverse ancestries affect the inheritance of variants which cause or predispose to disease.
