Stanford Conference: Missingness in Action
Date
Location Online
Missingness in Action is a consensus conference on the topic of absent and missing data and the future of AI in healthcare. The goal is to bring together great minds to dive deeper into the critical and emerging issue of missing and non-representational data. They hope to scope the problem, identify solutions, and create a research agenda that might help improve and not worsen existing care gaps for our patients. Content will be relevant to practitioners, researchers, executives, policymakers, and professionals, with and without technical expertise.
Maxine Mackintosh, our Programme Lead for Diverse Data will be speaking at the event.
The promise of AI in transforming healthcare relies on accurate and representational data. However, vast populations are underrepresented or missing from current data sets, which in turn only account for a small fraction of patient-centered outcomes, creating inequity in care at the individual and community levels. Your participation and expertise in this conversation will help illuminate healthcare data needs, how to address them, and shape the direction of the field to help ensure equity and optimal care for patients and providers alike.
